MetaT8 for patients
Last updated
You leave a session with something opened, and a card with next week's time on it. MetaT8 gives you somewhere to put the week in between, and gives your clinician a way to see it.
What can I do in the MetaT8 app?
- Keep a journal. Write it down or record a voice memo while it is still fresh.
- Reflect between sessions. AI support for the hours the clinic is closed. It is there to help the work of therapy, not to replace your therapist.
- Do the homework your clinician assigns, so the next session starts where you are.
Is MetaT8 an AI therapist?
No. MetaT8 is not an AI companion standing in for real relationships, and it is not a replacement for therapists, friends or family. Your care comes from people. MetaT8 helps what you share during the week reach them.
What does my clinician see?
Your clinician sees your homework and a short AI-written summary of your journal entries and conversations before the next session. How MetaT8 handles personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
What happens if I am in crisis?
MetaT8 is not a crisis service. When your words signal a crisis, your clinician is alerted directly, so the alert reaches a person. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency services. In the US you can call or text 988.
How do I get the MetaT8 app?
The MetaT8 app is available on Google Play for Android. An iOS version is coming soon. Signing in requires an account from a participating clinic or college, so ask your clinic or counseling center whether they use MetaT8.
